Dont really wanna talk about dinner. Meh. Just that I think that last year's one was better. And we are organising it next year. How joyful. Oh and we broke record for platoon 3rd factor. 6 out of 10 I think. Sweet.

Now now sec fours. I know some platoonmates will always love part a ncos more, but I honestly appreciate what sec fours have done for us and they are just so nice and sweet. All the mushy stuff shall be left to another time (ie after chalet when we really will not be seeing them anymore :()

It was a lousy weekend. Except for Ugly Betty. And ballet. Im telling you, ugly betty rules man. And ballet...wasnt really ballet. Yesterday was normal ballet stuff, stretching, barre, center, blah. But today we did this mordenish dance thing. Like we totally didnt have to point our toes or turn out and all those crap. It was different, and I cant say I really like it yet.

This week is basically english pt on monday, history pt on wed and tingxie on fri. Otherwise, looking forward to a happy and relaxing next weekend. Which will officially start on friday 1 pm since there is no piano lesson and end on tuesday morning 10am since i will need to study for math test the following day.

ciao

"You know you are dancing when tears of pain and happiness blend in with your sweat"

Yup, this post is going to be about ballet. At least, my side of ballet.

Today's lesson we did pointe for most part of it. I think I am falling in love with pointe. That arch of the foot, that tightening of calf muscles, that straightening of legs until it forms a concave shape, that sucking in of stomach and butt. That running en pointe, that marching en pointe, that carpentering en pointe. Awesome, really awesome, simply awesome. En pointe, you concentrate so hard on it that you fall into this blissful world where all troubles are gone. En pointe, you feel so light that your toes can support your whole body weight.

However, the aftermaths are of course not so enjoyable. Now my arch hurts, my muscles hurt, my joints hurt, my toes hurt. My body hurts. But I think I will still gladly step en pointe now and fall back into that blissful world.

My pirouettes suck. Really suck. And it is just a single one on rise. I can't effing do double one! I really really really need to work harder on that.

Moving on to the topic of flexibility. Sure, I can do a split, but thats about it. My back can't 'crack', I can't walk my hands to the back between my legs, I can't put my palms completely on the floor in front of my feet. Hell, my back is weak. And I can't do a scorpion on my own.

PFFFTTT.

I am rather disappointed by my current standard in ballet. Is it because it now requires real technique? Real talent? No more memorising a bunch of steps and simply executing them? No more going through a lesson without a single drop of sweat?

Argh.

Girls look at ballet and see pretty tutus.
Boys look at ballet and see people walking on their toes.
Women look at ballet and see skinny people.
Men look at ballet and see low-cut costumes.

So, you see how everyone likes ballet?

Those muscles are nicer when they are not hurting

Leg muscles are super sore. Stood from morning to night. :( Did CIP at Jurong east library today. Basically just hung around playing games like monopoly and dance dance revolution. Entertained the few people who showed interest in playing. There was this GUY, about 14-16 years old. His voice was like really super low. Couldnt understand most of what he was saying. A bit like us when we time or command, except more muffled. Aish, I tell you it is not normal for a girl to go so low and loud. -.-

I saw Min Yi while walking to the MRT. At least I think it was her. There was this wave of shock when I sort of recognised her. I have no idea why, probably just surprised plus her face was expressionless, looking dao and fierce. I keep telling her, I pity her future- part and children. Teehee.

Went to redhill again because of GSS. Bought quite a lot of things for ME :D. But my mum refused to buy this pair of white shorts and another greyish high-waisted skirt. :( ah wells, still got quite a lot of nice stuff <3

Ballet exhausted my muscles even more... Stretching was as per usual, but today was harder for me because I was already super tired. And my pirouettes still suck >.<

Watching guess on channel u now. There are 3 guys, and 1 one them is actually a girl. Supposed to guess which one. Obviously my guess was wrong. I thought it was the small-faced and thin-legs person. turned out it was the one whom I thought was most man. She has no chest not figure for goodness sake, but it may had just been the clever use of a suede jacket. This shows how good was guessing skills are...
