The Glass is Half-full, Not Half-empty

The Holidays are not even here yet, tons of homework are already coming in. Let me list them down (according to due date):
1. Lit AA
2. Commonwealth Essay
3. Bio PT
4. English PT

They may seem little, but they are actually A LOT, because 3 of them actually count towards the GPA. Today while eating KFC with mummy at West Mall, this huge feeliing of anxiousness suddenly came over me, and it was about homework. Like why was I eating KFC idly when I had not started on my homework yet. PMS much?

On a happier note, tomorrow is Be Yourself Day and I have decided to go dressed as my...(drumroll please)...MUMMY! YES, I LOVE YOU MUMMY! :DDD <<<<<3333333 Actually quite looking forward to being PT ic tomorrow. Have my leadership qualities finally decided to surface again. I surprise myself.

Can't wait for Saturday. YOU should know why. A hint: It is 5th March. :)

answerless arrogant attitude

Ok, I am officially pissed at my piano teacher right now. Everything was going ok until we started doing theory. I never liked theory, because it is really boring. Anyway, she was revising intervals with me, which I had sort of forgotten. I tried to ask her a question, then she fired up:

"Don't argue music with me."

So I remained quiet. She does have more experience in music than me. While doing the practice, I couldnt figure out a question and tried to ask her, but she just went:

"I taught you before. You just forgot."

That was insult to my memory. I still couldnt get it, and was trying to tell her my point of view, but she just couldnt be bothered and itterupted my sentence:

"I don't know how to teach you already."

My mind was shouting " THEN I PAY YOU TO COME HERE FOR WHAT? HUH? I continued my explanation, but couldnt go far before:

"Since you so clever, why don't you do it yourself?"

Oh My God! No one has the right to be arrogant! And no one has the right to say that! From anyone to anyone!PLEASE GET THAT STRAIGHT, LADY!

That was the last straw that broke the camel's back. I pay you so much is for you to teach me! Not to piss me off! If you can't even explain to your students, what for become a teacher? If you can't keep a cap on your temper, what for become a teacher?

You may play the piano better than me, you may be older (in fact, much older) than me, but that doesnt give you the right to be so arrogant over me! So what if you can play some perfect scales? So waht if you can sightread fast? When you can't even explain the stuff properly to your students or do mathematics that are just a little more complicated than the basic musical ones? HUH?

Seriously, quit your job if you can't handle it. Don't vent your stress on others. And don't try to be high and mighty around me. I can make you not come back with just a simple talk to my mum. So get it straight. Thank you very much.

Happy Chinese New Year! :D

So, if you are wondering why I have not been posting in such a long time, it is because school is really busy right now and I have been struggling to keep up. I was going to post yesterday because I wanted to try out my mac (YES, I GOT MY MAC-BOOK! :DDDD). But then I am not really used to it right now. And I always shut it down first before remembering that I have to update my blog. Maybe will try to post later if I have time, using my mac.

Yesterday was a really good day. Raffles gave us a holiday, and I was planning to visit Rulang, But erm...that plan sort of fell through. So I stayed home and caught up on tv shows online. Reunion dinner was good! Had a lot of fun playing with fireworks with cousins <3. They are coming to my place later on in the day to have yet another dinner together. Looking forward to the money and the food!

Okay, let me talk about camp steel now. Before going, I was really upset about missing 2 days of school, but at the same time excited because I knew it would be funner than ATC (which is a real torture, I tell you).It rained throughout the first day, and we couldn't practise orienteering D:. But the second day was really really really fun. My platoon did the High Confidence Challenge Course first, and I went for the wooden log balance beam. It was quite scary when I looked down. But then I kept my head straight and looked forward, and just walked. It was over too quick D: I was looking forward to Rappelling, but due to time constraints, we only managed the dry-run. Sigh. And we also didn't do Motivational Obstacle Course. D; Only paintball was good. Because our platoon was the last to go, we were allowed to finish up the left-over pellets :) I was concentrating more out not getting shot rather than shooting someone else. :p

Made lots of new friends. And added them plus many of the sirs on facebook. Many people stereotype the sirs to be fierce and tough, because they only see that side of them during camp. What they don't realise is that they have a social life too.

I really dont like it when people stereotype others when they have got no idea what sort of lives they lead. Like many people have stereotyped us Rafflesians to be nerdy, arrogant, whatever. But have they actually gotten to know us? Just because there are a handful of us who are really like that, It doesn't mean that we are all. So stop, please just stop.

Now, let me end on a happier note.
Happy Chinese New Year!
